About this film: At the start, we have been friends with Sebastian and Vasty for a while and we were talking with Sebastian about how he wanted to propose to Vasty. He expressed that he wanted to make it something to honor her and also to incorporate the family in it as well. He also told us to keep this a secret, which was probably the hardest part of the planning and day of the proposal. On the day of the proposal, Sebastian and Vasty as well as her entire family (and us) went to Atitlán Lake in Guatemala to spend a day at the small shops and to have a little adventure. Throughout that time we did some candid and posed shots, playing it off that we were just trying to get some fun images of them. So we spent the entire day there at Atitlan, but she had her suspicions about whether or not he might propose. It was just before sunset, that we visited the hotel Laguna Lodge Eco-Resort and we rolled in just as the sun started to turn the whole resort golden. As Vasty and Sebastian sat down at the restaurant, the sun started to set. It was at that moment that Sebastian asked Vasty to come upstairs to see the sunset from a better place, little did she know that he had an entire team setup rose pedals, candles and photos of the two of them. So as she walked up the stairs to the third floor and saw the roses on the deck, she knew he was going to propose, but it was a total surprise! Vasty said that day was magical, and perfect day with perfect weather. One funny thing that happened though, was there’s a traditional clothing piece called “güipil”, and while we were all shopping, she bought one just before the proposal happened, and she was wearing it in that moment! It wasn't planned, but sometimes the unplanned details can make everything perfect.

Sebastian and Vasty have a heart for youth ministries and serve at their church in Vida Real, Guatemala. While Vasty leads worship on stage week by week, Sebastian runs the show behind the scenes. They dated for several years, and had a year long engagement. At first, it seemed as if the day would never come, time was going by so slow, but all of a sudden, life picked up and on a blink of an eye, the day was here!

Made with Love

by the wonderful Bea from Addy Florals

Through cobblestones, tuc-tucs and volcanoes

It falls short to say that Antigua Guatemala is beautiful. It's cobblestone streets, the wonderful views of it's volcanoes, and the people from downtown made this place the perfect setting for Paulina and JosePablo's wedding.

While we were in Guatemala, we had the opportunity to work alongside Addy Florals, who we really enjoyed working with, and when we were planning the Creative Photos for Paulina + JP, we contacted Bea from Addy Florals to contribute with florals for a romantic celebration of their love, highlighting the beauty of Antigua Guatemala.
