Talk about connecting with our couples...

Engagement sessions is our favorite way to connect with our couples, as we get to see them interact with each other, and practice being in front of the camera. While the session is completely different than the wedding itself, we get to feel their way of connecting with one another, and more often than not, we end up chatting about their wedding and all the fun they are planning for the big day.

This is Monica and Michael, two people with the sweetest personalities. You see them smiling in every photo, not because they were nervous in front of the camera, but these two are such a flirt! and to this, we call being in love!

I love that they didn’t wear glamorous outfits, but instead they photographed true to themselves. Seriously, two honest people with a genuine heart!

Chicago Engagement Session

Most times when we talk to our brides about their Engagement Session, they all want our beautiful Chicago backdrops for their photos. Chicago is a place that drags so many people from so many places, and it is often full of visitors third-wheeling our couples on their session. We have found that it’s all about timing in Chicago, not only lighting is our main concern, but also avoiding the busy crowds. Take a look at the photos from our friends Alex and Noor… and don’t feel bad if you don’t feel as comfortable in front of the camera and can’t pose like these two; between you and me, (shhhhh! he is actually a model!).

We literally can’t wait for these guys’ wedding… we always photograph beautiful people, but these two make posing quite the treat :)

A Summer Morning with Puja + Kheelan

Good morning sweet lovers...

We started our dat at Northbeach, Chicago. Already the sunrise and the lonely beach set us up for a romantic morning with these two lovers...

For our second stop we chose to go to this really cool mural in the city. The bright colors of the walls worked really well with her hot red heels, and her "omg I want those now!" earrings.

and for our third and fourth stop, we ran over to Fulton Market and got some pretty incredible end shots

thumbs up to Puja + Kheelan. They rocked this outfits and we absolutely loved this session!

Bad weather on your wedding day? Don't worry, it can make for great art.

Ever heard the expression, "When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.” Well, here’s our photo gallery of some crazy weather that we had to deal with on photo sessions, and how it can make for some incredible moments!

Photographer Tip (Subscribe) Remember that when shooting in snow, because snow is not transparent, you want to make sure your light is in front of it. With rain, try lighting it from behind. For lighting situations like this, we use a Canon Speedlite a but any flash or LED continuous light will work.
